Nguyen Tien Huy

Nguyen Tien Huy earned his M.D. as the valedictorian at Ho Chi Minh University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) in 1996. From 1996 to 1998 he worked as an Intern clinical medical doctor of Infectious Diseases Department of Ho Chi Minh University of Medicine and Pharmacy and also worked at the Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh City. In 2002 he gained his PhD at Kyoto Institute of Technology (Japan) with a thesis on the antimalarial mechanism. Between 2002 and 2007 he was a postdoctoral fellow at Kyoto Institute of Technology. From 2007, he was an Assistant Professor at Institute of Tropical Medicine (NEKKEN), Nagasaki University and started to work on clinical research of several infectious diseases. He was appointed as an Associate Professor at the Nagasaki University in 2013. Nguyen Tien Huy is involved in a multi-disciplinary collaboration in infectious diseases research on finding novel biomarkers of diseases severity, prediction model, multiplex diagnosis, and evidence based medicine.
