Kamruddin Ahmed

Kamruddin Ahmed, M.B.B.S., D.T.M., Ph.D., graduated from Mymensingh Medical College, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh and earned PhD from Nagasaki University, Japan. He earned diploma in tropical medicine from the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Nagasaki University. He is a fellow of Australasian College of Tropical Medicine, Queensland, Australia. Dr. Ahmed is interested in molecular epidemiology, diagnostics, and pathogenesis of viruses. He has successfully undertaken projects in Bangladesh, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Laos, the Philippines, Viet Nam, Nepal and Thailand. Dr. Ahmed is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Oita University, Japan and currently a visiting faculty at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. He had served as a faculty member in Nagasaki University, Japan; Kuwait University, Kuwait; and Bilkent University, Turkey.
