Lay Myint Yoshida is the associate professor of the Department of Paediatric Infectious Diseases at Institute of Tropical Medicine, Nagasaki University. He received his medical degree (MBBS) and M.Med.Sc from the University of Medicine 1, Yangon, and PhD from the Institute of Medical Science, the University of Tokyo. He was a research fellow at AIDS research center, National Institute of Infectious Diseases, Tokyo and studied the HIV drug resistance mechanism. His current research area covers severe pediatric infectious diseases such as respiratory infection, dengue and diarrhea. He is also interested in congenital infections and child development.
